Birds dancing in the woods

Yesterday was Vogelball time!

I regret that I didn't take more pictures at night! This "pre-festival" party takes place in the same location as MSDockville. The daylight scenario is very much the Dockville setup: something like Tom Sawer meets a lots of hipsters in Hamburg harbor and throws a big party. At night the lights turn the location into Peter Pan's land, and you can discover so many hidden places with a more private place to sit or have a drink.

People hide with feathers, and other "birdy accessories" and colors (vögel=bird in german) and come here to dance. In the pictures below you can see how my boyfriend turned me into a white swan in about 10 minutes. Regarding music, well, I think it could have been better, but at the same time I always had the impression I was in the wrong stage at the wrong time.

The way back from the party can be painful if you live in the center of Hamburg. Those seemed to me the longest 16km I ever rode. I thought that I mastered bike driving, but I was wrong. I tried to fly home but it also didn't work, and ended up almost killing myself in the middle of the way (I am obviously exaggerating here).

Anyway, the ride is worth it and next year I will be back.

And check more cool pictures in their facebook page here.

MsDockville Festival - feiern feiern!
